hmmmm...whatever...
Wow! Just what is it with people and egos i'll never understand! hmmm, now that statement might seem to indicate that maybe, just maybe I wasnt really paying attention t0 any of my Psychology lecturers for all of those 5 years. But you must know that just isnt the truth. Allow me then to just rephrase it so things are closer to reality. I do get the deal with people and egos, but I just dont think it makes sense. Of any kind. Just the other day I was talking to an aquaintance who was completely smitten by this pretty young thing in really really short skirts, but he just wasnt willing to ask her out. Just yet. Apparently thats how it works! He should know! he's been through a dozen and half of such. The trick he says is not to let her know he is interested, coz heaven forbid, if she got to know, she might perhaps indulge in heartless games of her own. So, he walks around in baggy pants to hide his wobbly knees everytime Pretty Woman passes by. Now, recently, a lil birdie told me our girl is head over heels in love with, well our man. Hmmm. And what does she do about it? Call him names when hes around and tell himhow cute she thought his best friend looks. Another cover up? Yeah, she confirms. But why, just why? Deep down, the guy knows the girl knows he likes her, the girl knows the guy knows she likes him- and yet they play hide and seek, waiting for the ahem perfect ahem moment in history to disclose their undying love for eachother. But until then they must ignore eachother and call eachother names and find mutual friends of respective sexes to be indeed very attractive.

Crossing the Line

Crossing the Line

There is this line, thousands of years old.

Walk on it and you are guaranteed salvation.

Or so all of us are told.

The line goes straight, no turn, no deviation.

You have no choice but to follow and fast behold.

Rules, laws, rights and wrongs passed on through generations.

A few revolted- strong, rebellious and bold.

They had their questions, arguments and strong convictions.

But a new born to adhere to it the society moulds.

Like vultures they pounce and enforce God and his revelations.

A hundred million people- they establish society.

They have power, they are the authority.

They don't have to make sense as long as they make up majority.

Making our lives diminish to a point of mere frivolity.

And all in the name of some social conformity.

You are no more than a show horse

Trotting around in circles, doing what they say.

Thinking about it, isn't life a big farce?

Living by other's books your SELF you betray.

Your thoughts and desires you don't need to flay.

As long as you are strong to do what you say.

The game of life can be played your way.

Just remember one thing though before you take your stance.

This revolt could push you down below.

And life doesn't give you a second chance.

Just another update

First up, the taxman was here to suggest some investments so I can bring down my returns! I think I should bake him some cookies next time!!! So, Ken, Digital Dreams and Barny!!! I am still smiling :)

The last few days have been spent chauffering my mom and gramma around, touching base with the gang, going drinkin with my aunt and cousin, and sticking by a dear friend's mommy's bypass surgery- 4 blocks in all- 70 to 80% blockage in each! Close call. Its been a day after the surgery n shez doing good as of now.

Not sure how many of u remember the bit about my folks wanting me to start meeting prospective guys for marriage...well...the one in the kitty is a 31 year old Major in the Indian Army. Still havent spoken to him coz the station that he is based at is quite remote and signals are extremely patchy. Moreover, I quite wouldnt know how to get started with the conversation, let alone keep it going. I do know that once I get started its quite hard to stop, coz i dont start until i am really comfortable with the whole situation and the person involved. Yet...

Anyway, today has been one of those days when you get out of the shower and realise you dont want to wear your clothes. At all. I guess it signifies a day wherein you resent being tied down or confined in any manner, where you crave to be free, with the wind and the sun kissing your bare soul as it kisses your unclothed body...Wonder if any of you ever feel that way?

The tax man and my dashed dreams of being abducted bu the aliens for their bi-annual probe....

loggin in for the 5th time to realise off late nothing much of interest has come my way to write to u guys about. Come to think of it...this seems to be some big time ''thought provoking thought''. Something must be amiss......

Divya: (soliloquy) ...hmm...no posts in the last few days...hmm...either I must be amazingly busy, or perhaps the deep dark forces of nature having turned against me have frozen time, space and action around me! if that isnt it...then perhaps...just perhaps maybe the ''others'' from the other worlds have targetted me as the most preferred specimen for their probe, and to convenience their research have deleted memories of me from the minds of all those who ever had anything to do with me coz of which nuttin of interest seems to be happening with me, to me, coz of me....whoa! scary thought that! but wait, the phone's ringing! ..........@#%$&%^&^*&^*&*%&^%U^Q*&(*()*( ....grrrrrrrr......thats my tax man! he's comin over tomorrow! well...looks like the dumb ass aliens forgot something!

Ghost Rider

Woke up this morning to my cousin's call. He wanted to take me out for a movie. We were meeting after a good 5 years and he wanted to make up for all those years spent fighting and beating eachother up I guess. Today being Friday, most shows were booked out- so we ended up watching a movie I had no plans of spending time and money on- Ghost Rider. I think my cousin secretly hoped to watch this one while telling me that the day was mine and so were the picks. Since I already knew the movie was about a super hero with a flaming skull, burning chains and asphalt ripping bikes, and still went ahead with the choice, I have automatically lost all my rights to complain about the lack of reason in the movie. So I wont.

Johnny Blaze was a 17 year old a motorcycle stuntkid playing at a village carnival with his daddy. The night before he is to run away with his love Roxanne Simpson (!) (Eva Mendez), Johnny makes a deal with Mephistopheles (Peter Fonda) to save his father from cancer, only to have the old man promptly die the next day in a stunt accident. Years years later (as is evident from Nicholas Cage's wrinkled face) Mephistopheles' pesky little kid, Blackheart (Wes Bentley), has decided he wants to run the show. So he is out with a few dandy dead friends, one of whom bears an uncanny resemblence to Bob Marley, to lay his hands on a hidden contract that would give him access to a thousand souls.  Johnny meanwhile is ordered by Mephistopheles, who still wants to be in the race, to retrieve this hidden contract  before Junior can get his hands on it.

The entire film is about Johnny Blaze going back and forth between his human and Ghost Rider form, while doling out cheesy dialogues such as, "He may have my soul but he doesn't have my spirit!". When Johnny is engulfed in flames, his motorcycle changes into a giant bike made of chains, with fire in the wheels, leaving a trail of flames and destruction behind. This is one super hero you wouldn't want to come to your rescue. Especially if you live close to high rise buildings, woods, oil rigs or the ocean.

Bad story, lame humor, pathetic acting, loose ends and an over zealous graphic designer is what defines this movie. My tip: Stay Away.
